During my visit to Anchorage, I had just one full day to explore by myself before meeting up with the rest of the Alaska Shore Tours team. And with perfect weather, I had just 24 hours to make the most of this vibrant city. I planned my day to experience as much as possible—culture, food, wildlife, and stunning scenery. While I couldn’t fit everything in, I discovered that Anchorage offers a variety of experiences to suit any traveler’s interests.

Whether you’re passing through on your way to explore Alaska’s untamed wilderness, embarking on a cruise, or just beginning your Alaskan adventure, Anchorage is the perfect place to dive into the state’s unique blend of urban and natural attractions. From learning about Alaska Native heritage and savoring local cuisine to spotting wildlife and taking in breathtaking views, this itinerary helps you make the most of your time in the city.
