How big is your group?
The helicopter tours all require that 3 seats be booked before the tour will actually happen. If you are traveling solo or as a couple, you may want to stick one of the more popular tours, such as the Icefield Excursion. That is the best way of ensuring that your tour goes out as expected.Additionally, each helicopter only seats 6, so even on a full tour, you won't be overwhelmed with other guests.
If you are traveling with at least 3 people, you have your pick, since you automatically meet the minimum number of people required. With that said, larger parties will be split up, but you will always spend your time together on the glacier.
Other things to keep in mind:
- The helicopter tours can accommodate children of all ages and there are several car seats available for use.
- There is no minimum weight, however, passengers weighing more than 280 pounds are subject to an additional $100 cost to secure extra space in the aircraft.
- The listed tour times are from take off to landing, and do not include the time required to return to the port.
- No bags are allowed in the helicopters, so bring only the essentials with you. If you have medical needs, they will be able to accommodate you.
